State of Children in Pakistan Report 2025 Launched

National Commission on the Rights of Child launched its second annual flagship publication, the State of Children in Pakistan Report 2025, alongside the National Child Rights Integrated Dashboard and a child-friendly version of the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child’s Concluding Observations and Recommendations 2026 on 6 May 2026.

The State of Children in Pakistan Report 2025 presents a comprehensive national assessment of child rights and wellbeing across Pakistan, covering health, education, protection, and participation. The flagship report was prepared by Qindeel Shujaat, Executive Director of Obun2, with the assistance of the Obun2 research team and support from NCRC. The report aims to strengthen evidence-based policymaking, child rights monitoring, and child protection systems in Pakistan.

The launch event was attended by Azam Nazeer Tarar, Pernille Ironside, members of the diplomatic community, government officials, development partners, civil society representatives, and academia.

 

In her opening remarks, Ayesha Raza Farooq highlighted the importance of strengthening systems that place children at the centre of national priorities.

Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar emphasised accountability and transparency, while Pernille Ironside stressed the importance of evidence-based action for children.
