Obun2’s Legal Internship Programme: July–August 2024

In July and August 2025, Obun2 offered a law-focused internship programme for university students from Roots IVY and Fatima Jinnah University. Five students successfully completed the programme: Ayan Rafiq, Shehana Mohammad, Memuna Mohammad, and Muqadas Jameel from Roots IVY, and Esha Zainab from Fatima Jinnah University.

The interns actively learned and were provided the opportunity to complete real assignments, including:

• Compiling national and federal legislation.
• Compiling provincial legislation and international conventions.
• Analyzing provincial-level case law.
• Conducting comparative analyses of provincial legislation.
• Report writing and compiling findings on assigned child protection topics.

The programme gave students practical exposure and helped them build research, writing, and advocacy skills relevant to child protection and legal development in Pakistan.
